PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour a 1-Bedroom Villa at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
Ah, the Atlantic Coast seashore. Quaint seaside towns with unique shops and tasty food options lining a boardwalk next to the beach. Disney’s BoardWalk Villas recreates the fun of these beach towns on Walt Disney World Resort property.
Put down that saltwater taffy and hop off the surrey as we tour a 1-Bedroom Villa at the BoardWalk.
The main room has a kitchen, dining table, and a living area.
The sofa and armchair provide comfortable seating after a long day at the parks.
The flatscreen television is mounted above the dresser.
Unlike many dressers in Walt Disney World Resort hotels, this one does not have power outlets or USB ports. A DVD player is placed on the shelf.
The dresser has a Hidden Mickey.
A coffee table with built-in storage needs to be moved before the sofa bed can be opened.
The queen-sized sofa can easily be opened by one person.
From the living area, we can see the Luna Park feature pool and The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror in the distance.
The living room artwork celebrates the classic wooden rollercoasters seen on many boardwalks.
A single end table offers more storage.
The kitchen is adjacent to the living area.
The kitchen has an oven with a radiant cooktop, a microwave, an apartment-sized refrigerator, and a four-slice toaster.
Cleaning up after a meal is easy. The 1-Bedroom Villa has a dishwasher.
The divided sink is also handy during meal prep.
A two-person dining table sits next to the kitchen.
A small counter seating area seats two additional guests.
The entryway includes hooks for hanging items and a storage closet.
The entryway closet is large, with two sliding doors.
A fire extinguisher, steam mop, and extra pillows and blankets are stored in the closet.
The thermostat seems to date to the resort’s opening.
The stacked washer and dryer are located just outside the bathroom.
The bathroom is divided, which allows two people to get ready at the same time.
A door separates the two bathroom areas.
This part of the bathroom has a shower, a toilet, and a single pedestal sink.
A ledge runs the wall’s entire length. It is handy, as the pedestal sink offers very little space.
The second section of the bathroom has a jetted tub and a single sink.
This sink has a large vanity and lots of storage below.
There is also a large walk-in closet. The closet contains the iron, ironing board, a luggage stand, and a safe. The laundry basket is also stored in this large closet.
Shutters can be closed to provide privacy, as the bedroom is directly beyond the jetted tub.
These jets would feel great after a long day!
The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror is visible from the tub! How cool is that?
The bedroom features a king-sized bed. A ceiling fan keeps the air circulating.
Both nightstands have storage as well as built-in outlets and USB ports.
The bedroom also has an armchair.
The bedroom dresser is similar to the one in the living area. Note that the bedroom does not have a DVD player.
Six individual prints create a scene above the headboard.
The prints feature images commonly seen at amusement piers.
This seat doubles as storage.
The balconies are small, with room for two chairs. However, the chairs need to be turned sideways to fit.
Despite being small, the views from the balconies are stunning!

New Merchandise
- The Walt Disney World 50th anniversary merchandise continues with a Mickey ear hat ornament.
- Two new T-shirts have arrived at Downtown Disney District, featuring Sleeping Beauty Castle, and Donald Duck.
- New fuzzy sweaters have arrived at Disneyland Resort right in time for the chilly fall weather.
- Get ready for the holidays with these new Christmas Spirit Jerseys and light-up holiday snowflake Mickey balloon ear headbands that just came out at Disneyland Resort.
- A new keychain with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and castle charms is now available at Walt Disney World. We found it at Creations Shop in EPCOT.

- According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hayden Christensen will be returning as Anakin Skywalker in a new series called Ahsoka

PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour A King Bed Room in Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Join us on a tour of a king room in Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, which reopened in October.
One of the most unique elements of a Gran Destino Tower room is the sliding barn door for the bathroom.
Past the barn door is another sliding door that leads to the toilet.
The shower has completely see-through glass, which isn’t very convenient if you’re looking for privacy and someone else in your party needs to use the sink.
The sinks themselves jut out of the counter.
There’s a removable shower head.
Outside the bathroom, before getting to the main room, is the wardrobe.
It holds the safe, as well as a full-length mirror.
This is also where the ironing board is stored.
Like all new or remodeled Walt Disney World resort hotel rooms, the bed is raised so guests can store suitcases underneath.
There was a cute Mickey towel on the bed when we arrived.
They love mirrors here at Gran Destino Tower, as there’s another one immediately next to the bed and four in a geometric pattern above the sofa.
One of the coolest details is this lamp with iconography from the Destino short, for which the resort is named.
There’s plenty of counter space on the desk-dresser combination.
In the corner is an armchair and a lamp with a small built-in table.
There is one hint of Disney magic beyond just the folded towel.
You’ll spot Mickey in one of the barn door studs.
